Equipment Manager/Mechanic

📍 Franklin, MA

Equipment Manager/Mechanic in Franklin, MA—$800–$1,200 per week, paid weekly. If you've got mechanical skills and want to keep a fleet of landscaping equipment running like a well-oiled machine, we want to talk to you. A Day in the Life You'll roll into our Franklin facility by 7 a.m., review the day's maintenance queue with crew leaders, and get straight to work. One morning you're diagnosing why an excavator won't start; the next, you're performing pre-season inspections on mowers before spring hits. You work independently, solve problems on the fly, and take genuine pride in keeping our fleet running—because when equipment is down, our crews can't serve customers. By day's end, you've logged service records, ordered parts, and sent crews back out fully equipped. What You'll Do - Perform routine maintenance and repairs on excavators, loaders, mowers, and other landscaping equipment to keep our fleet in top condition - Diagnose mechanical problems and troubleshoot issues quickly so our crews can get back to work without unnecessary downtime - Manage parts inventory, order supplies, and maintain detailed service records for each piece of equipment - Conduct pre-season inspections and winterization procedures to maximize equipment lifespan - Collaborate with crew leaders to understand equipment needs and prioritize maintenance schedules What We're Looking For - Hands-on experience maintaining heavy equipment, small engines, or similar machinery. Landscaping experience is a plus but not required—we'll train you on our specific equipment and processes. - Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently and solve problems on the fly - A valid driver's license and reliable transportation to our Franklin location - Genuine pride in keeping things running well and attention to detail that makes a real difference - Willingness to learn new equipment and stay current with maintenance best practices.
