Sidewalk Shoveler
📍 North Syracuse, NY
If you love being outside, don't mind the snow, and want steady work with a team that actually values you, we need to talk.
A Day in Your Boots
You'll wake up early—typically 4:30 or 5 a.m.—and head to our North Syracuse staging area to grab your shovel and gear. Winter mornings are your domain. You'll spend the day clearing sidewalks and walkways across North Syracuse and the surrounding North Shore suburbs before residents and business owners need these spaces. You work with a tight crew, report any equipment issues, and, by early afternoon, head home. Weather dictates the intensity, but the work is consistent throughout the winter season.
What You'll Do
- Clear sidewalks and walkways of snow and ice during winter months, keeping properties safe and accessible for residents and businesses
- Use hand tools and light equipment to remove snow efficiently and with care for surrounding landscaping
- Treat walkways with salt or sand as needed to prevent slipping hazards
- Work early mornings (typically 6 a.m.–2 p.m., Monday through Friday) and respond to weather conditions to get jobs done before people need to use these spaces
- Maintain equipment in good working order and report any issues to your crew lead
- Communicate with customers about completed work and address any concerns professionally
What We're Looking For
- Someone who's reliable and shows up ready to work, even when the weather is rough
- Physical capability to shovel for extended periods and lift/carry loads regularly
- No experience required—we'll train you from day one if you're willing to learn
- A willingness to work early starts during the winter season
- Attention to detail—you understand that doing this job right keeps people safe
- A positive attitude and respect for coworkers and customers
We Hire From
Landscaping crews, warehouse teams, retail, construction, and anyone with a strong work ethic looking to transition into outdoor seasonal work—if you're dependable and ready to work, we want to talk to you. Construction background? Warehouse experience? Retail hustle? Your work ethic matters more than your past job title.
What We Offer
-Weekly paychecks: Earn $1,000–$1,400 per week, guaranteed and paid every Friday without delays. No waiting for paychecks—your earnings are reliable and consistent throughout the winter season.
- Steady full-time work through the winter season (November–March typically) with on-the-job training from day one. Your crew leads teach you everything you need to know. If you're willing to learn, we're committed to training you right.
- Workers' compensation coverage included—you're protected on the job, as required by New York law.
- You're earning from day one. Paid training from your first shift with experienced crew leads who teach you everything on the job. If you're willing to learn, we're committed to training you right.
- 100% employer-provided winter gear (insulated jacket, waterproof boots, work gloves, and full protective equipment)—yours to keep after season completion. No out-of-pocket equipment costs.
- Dedicated maintenance support keeps your equipment running. You focus on the work—we handle the gear.
- Join a tight crew that shows up, works hard, and treats each other right. You'll feel the difference from day one.
- Got a problem in the field? Your crew lead handles it the same day—keeping you safe, informed, and productive.
- We respect that life happens. When possible, we accommodate real scheduling needs within our early shift structure.
- Safety isn't a checkbox here. It's built into every shift, from gear to training to how the crew operates on site.
- Know someone who'd be great on the team? Refer them, they complete their first 30 days, and $200 goes straight to you.
