Mowing Team Apprentice

No landscaping experience needed—we hire people from all backgrounds, including those transitioning from warehouse, retail, or other industries. Whether you're coming from construction, manufacturing, or any other field, this apprenticeship will teach you a skill that's always in demand. Your Day in Appleton Your shift starts early: you'll arrive at our Appleton location by 6am to load equipment onto the truck, review the day's residential and commercial properties across the Fox Valley, and head out with your crew. You'll operate commercial mowers, practice proper edging and trimming techniques under direct mentorship, and finish each day by unloading and organizing equipment back at our shop. It's honest, physical work in Northeast Wisconsin weather—spring through winter—but you'll be paid weekly every Friday and gain real skills that are always in demand. What You'll Do - Operate and maintain commercial mowing equipment safely and efficiently across residential and commercial properties in the Appleton area - Learn proper lawn care techniques from experienced team members, including mowing patterns, edging, and trimming - Help load, unload, and organize equipment at the end of each workday - Communicate with customers professionally and represent Outdoor Independence with pride - Assist with seasonal maintenance tasks and equipment upkeep to keep our fleet running smoothly What We're Looking For - A willingness to learn and work hard — we'll teach you the rest - Reliable transportation and the ability to start work early (we're talking 6am starts) - Physical stamina to handle a full day of outdoor work in Wisconsin weather - A genuine interest in landscaping and becoming skilled in this trade - Attention to detail and a commitment to doing quality work What We Offer - Weekly paychecks every Friday ($720–$940/week, roughly $18–$23.50/hour depending on experience) - On-the-job training from day one—no experience required.
