Who We Are

The NestAbout The Nest

At The Nest at Anderson Mill, we believe education is about far more than academics—it's about helping every child grow into a confident, curious, and compassionate individual. Founded by Erica Harris and Shavonda Lawson, our school was created with a shared vision of building a learning community where children are understood, respected, and empowered to reach their full potential. Guided by the Montessori philosophy and decades of experience in education and child development, we create nurturing environments where every child can thrive socially, emotionally, and academically. Our team is passionate about making a lasting impact on children and their families. We foster a collaborative culture built on respect, authenticity, and continuous learning, where educators are encouraged to grow alongside their students. If you're looking for a meaningful career where you can inspire young learners, build strong relationships, and be part of a mission-driven team dedicated to shaping the next generation, The Nest at Anderson Mill is the place for you.

What We Stand For

Our Culture & Core Values

✔️Respect for the Individual You're hired because you bring something unique. Your voice, your teaching style, and your ideas shape your classroom. Management respects that and creates room for it. ✔️Real Partnership with Families You're not just delivering a service. You're part of a team with parents and the child—communicating openly, sharing what you're noticing, and building trust over time. ✔️Continuous Growth Montessori education requires ongoing learning. The school supports your development as an educator, not just your compliance with a checklist. ✔️Child-First Decision Making When there's a choice between what's easier and what's better for the child's learning, the answer is always the child. That clarity matters for your daily work. ✔️Community Over Competition You're working with your colleagues, not against them. Mixed-age classrooms and shared values mean you're genuinely supporting each other.
